ROLEX Submariner

Rolex has been creating the iconic Submariner watch since 1953; it has a robust construction and functional design to make it the perfect diving watch. Throughout its history, the Submariner has been contained in a high-quality and durable oyster case. Often associated with famous names such as Jacques Cousteau, James Bond, Sean Connery, and British Royal Navy and the most sought after Comex diving editions with Red and double Red.

The original launch in 1954 claimed the watch could achieve depths of 200 meters which no other company at the time could achieve. What was the rotating bezel for? It was designed to show divers how much dive time they have had and guided them to knowing what air was left in the tank. Another obstacle they overcame was divers using thick gloves, Rolex invested the triple lock clasp to help this issue.
