The history of Nautische Instrumente watches
Nautische Instrumente is now one of the only watch manufacturers within the German town of Glashutte that’s still being owned by a long-established local family. The family has been based in the Glashutte for approximately 700 years.
The company was founded in 1869 by Robert Muhle. At first he had produced high quality measuring instruments for the watch manufacturers and rev counters. The company’s current focus had been placed under managed for the fourth generation of the family and they had started to produce high-quality wrist watches, maritime systems and other nautical instruments.
Nautische Instrumente in 2019 had started the year with a total of 60 employees who were involved in the companies production activities.
