The history of Davosa watches
In the 1860s Abel Frédéric Hasler made silver watchcases my hand, His sons then went on to learn the watchmaking trade, including Paul Hasler. In 1917 Paul Hasler Terminages d'Horlogerie was formed, making watches for well-known watch brands. By 1946 the company was producing watch movements, especially for the US market.
In 1974 the name of the company was changed to Hasler & Co. S.A. A year later the company began producing quartz watches.
Towards the end of the 1980s, demand for high end watches increases and the company develops a range called DAVOSA, which features chronograph with Valjoux 7750 and 7751 movements as well as other specialities like power reserve and regulators. As it was so well received by retailers and customers alike, the Davosa brand was expanded. It wasn’t until 1998 that the Davosa brand was first exhibited at Basel. Throughout 2000 the Davos brand has continued to develop and produce beautifully made precision watches, with pieces such as Pilot Chronograph to mark the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ flight, Lady in Red, Black and White, the limited edition Classic Skeleton.
The brand partners with Nikolay ‘Nik’ Linder, a famous free diver and Austria’s freeskier Luca Tribondeau.
