HOW CAN I TELL IF MY MECHANICAL WATCH IS MAGNETISED?
- Place your watch near a traditional compass

A quartz watch will only be affected temporarily by magnetic fields and will work again once out of range. However, a mechanical watch may stop working completely so should always be kept at least 5cm away from magnetic devices.
OTHER WAYS TO REDUCE DAMAGE TO YOUR TIME PIECE
To look after your watch you should;

- Chemical products may corrode the water resistant gaskets and damage the aesthetic of your timepiece.
- Sand has small minerals in it which can scratch the sapphire crystal or steel bracelet on your watch.
- If you’re going to be near water ensure the crown is fully pushed in and avoid the leather strap touching water as this may damage it. We offer watch strap replacement should damage occur. We can offer crown replacement if there is any damage sustained.
- If you have any doubts about the water-resistance of your watch, simply clean it with a soft brush.
